Other Local Sites
This page lists websites for local organisations within and around the BHORA area:
Community Sites
Bowes and Bounds Connected: a community website for the Bowes Park and Bounds Green Neighbourhoods, with forums, and a great list of events in the area.
Palmers Green Community: their aim is to promote inclusive, locally rooted and accountable community organisations made up of people who care about the quality of life in Palmers Green and surrounding areas and have ideas about how it can be turned into an even better place in which to live, work, study and visit - and of course enjoy an enriching social life. There are already many groups and websites working towards such a vision - their aim is not to replace them, but to serve as a portal directing people towards them, and also to act as a focus for discussions about those aspects of life in Palmers Green that currently have no online home.
Palmers Green Jewel in the North: for a history of palmers green, and community life past and present.
Campaigns
Broomfield House: follow restoration plans for the house in Broomfield Park.
Friends of Broomfield Park: is a group of local volunteers who work with the council to improve the park’s appearance, facilities, conservation value and safety for all to enjoy.
Friends of Arnos Park are local residents who work hard to ensure that the park continues to be a well maintained and safe place of recreation for the whole community. We lobby the London Borough of Enfield and work with them to improve the tidiness of the park, increase its bio diversity and fundraise for improvements.
Pinkham Way Alliance: for information on the plans to build a waste management site along the A406 and the huge campaign mounted to stop the scheme.
