The Broomfield House Community Working Group, which consists of Friends of Broomfield Park and Trustees of the Broomfield House Trust, believe that they have turned a corner and are now working closely with the Council on a joint proposal to restore the House, Baroque Water gardens and Stable Yard. Here is a statement from the team....
We are embarking on two main funding applications from the Heritage Lottery Fund - one for the House and one for the Stable yard and Gardens. The first one is due for submission on the 22nd of October and focuses on the House. In support of this activity, we have put together an online survey to enable people to review the outline plan (attached) and comment on what they would like to see in the project.

We have received over 100 responses to our survey so far, from the people who visited our stand at the Palmers Green Festival on the 2nd September. We want to try and increase this number through the use of this on-line survey tool.
Please have a look at the survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/28KJ65M it should only take a few minutes to complete.
Hopefully you’ll agree that this proposal is a much better solution than housing in the park. The Group is pleased to note that the Housing proposal plans that were displayed on the side of the House have been taken down, demonstrating the Council’s change of attitude in support of the community’s proposal.
An Open meeting has been scheduled to provide you with more information and to answer your questions. Please do come along.
Thursday 20th September at the Ruth Winston House, 190 Green Lanes N13 at 7.45 – 9.30 pm.
