Time: Sunday 2nd September 2012
Location: Broomfield Park
The time is almost upon us with a rich spectrum of entertainment to entertain our community:
Dance on the lawn all afternoon with salsa, tango and Kizomba enjoying master classes and demonstrations from the current UK Champions and professional teachers all driven by top DJ Erick the Saint;
Take in the view from the top of the UK’s largest climbing wall;
See the Youth Zone centred about the X Bus mobile Youth Club, Trinity at Bowes Plus Centre and Enfield Youth Services;
Take the kids to the fun fare;
Explore the parks features such as the Community Orchard, Community Conservatory and one of London’s few model boating lake complete with boats;
Visit the Palmers Greenery site and learn about the volunteer run café due shortly in the park;
Listen to over twenty performers who will also be broadcast live worldwide on FM radio and to thousands of Twitter followers by another of London’s top DJ’s;
Try to win the £500 first prize in our raffle draw at 5pm at the band stand;
Browse 70 stalls ranging from micro businesses, to charities and non-profit organisation and of course food and drink; and then
Learn how all the money raised from this voluntary effort will be reinvested back into the community – and how it could be your project which receives cash and support!
We’ve done most of the work, now we need you to have made it all worthwhile. So come along, enjoy the day, care for our park and area and think about getting involved yourself next time.
