Broomfield Blues are Blue no More

Lazy August Sunday afternoons in Broomfield Park always meant top class, relaxing, blues-based music from quality musicians playing from the bandstand and August 2013 will be no different.

A worry, a wobble, a last minute panic and then action and all will now be fine and ready for the start on 4th August at 1pm after a local consortium of The Vintage Blues Association, St Harmonicas Blues Club, The Palmers Green Community Festival and the Friends of Broomfield Park came together to ensure the event will continue.

The Blues Theme is a loose one to link four music genres for the four weeks which can trace their roots to American Blues and Roots Music.

The Open Mic sessions give an opportunity for local players and young musicians to have ago and the afternoons will build towards a different professional local band each week.

The four Sundays will raise awareness of and build anticipation for the Broomfield Park Festival on September 1st after taking the baton from Love Parks Week which ends on 4th August
